How dare you correct me?

If you are writing something and AutoCorrect features complete word, date or creates bullets automatically, doesn’t sound that irritating. However there are situations where you want to have freedom to write whatever you want, you are better off with such options. If you are writing an article on “The spelling mistakes students make”, you may need to mention incorrect spellings for instance “accident”. AutoCorrect will keep on correcting the spellings to correct spelling “accident”.

Limiting the AutoCorrect option is easy and hardly takes half a minute. You can turn it off for good as well. One way is to click blue icon appearing under an automatically corrected word. See the options here, select the appropriate one, it’ll rollback the correction either for current instance or forever.

For full list of AutoCorrect options you can either click the last option appearing under the autocorrected word or you can visit Word options after pressing Office button. Click “AutoCorrect Options” from “Proofing” menu item. You can see comprehensive AutoCorrect options under different tabs. You can add or remove particular words or turn “correction as you type” options as per your liking.

It is not possible to bring back time, but it is indeed a possibility to get menus back.
