Mark Zuckerberg – the founder of Facebook and present CEO has been named Time 
Magazine’s person of the year 2010. He will be on the cover of the Time Magazine special edition , being acknowledged as a person who was most influential in shaping the events during 2010.
This could well be seen coming , given the huge growth , controversies over privacy concerns and new products that Facebook has seen during this year. Another big role was played by the hit movie The Social Network which gave Facebook further media spotlight which naturally included was received by its founder Mark Zuckerberg.
Time Magazine chose Mark Ellion Zuckerberg as Time’s person of the year 2010 on following grounds:
- He connected more than 500 million people and their relationships were mapped through facebook.
- He created a new system for information exchange.
- He changed how we are living our lives with his facebook impact.
Zuckerberg will be in good company which includes luminaries like Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. And amongst tech people who graced Time magazine cover include Microsoft’s Bill Gates and founder of Amazon , Jeff Bezos
